The objectives of the project is to:

  1. Increase the number of adequately prepared bilingual behavioral health providers to deliver trauma-based developmentally appropriate services to children, adolescents, and transitioning youth in the Dallas Fort-Worth Metroplex (DFW).
  2. Increase the number of LPCs and LCSWs delivering bilingual trauma-based counseling/interventions to children, adolescents, and transitional-aged youth who are trained to work in interprofessional teams (IPT) in IC settings.
  3. Close the gap in access to behavioral health care for bilingual and minoritized children and youth at risk for behavioral disorders. UNT-CHE-MSW-RHS offers Master’s degrees in Counselor Education, Social Work, and Rehabilitation Counseling.
